Sitemaps and duplicate content

    Hi RankMath,

Can I submit one sitemap for Posts, one for Pages and another one for Categories or is it going to generate duplicate content (and negatively impact the site indexation on Google)?
I’m only asking because in your “How to configure Sitemaps” article I understand that “your website can have multiple sitemaps”, but “There is no advantage in pushing a sitemap with all your posts laid out, and then another one with your tag archives since the content will be the same”.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

To have your pages, posts and categories in the sitemap, make sure they are not set to noindex, then head over to Rank math > Sitemaps and enable the sitemap for each of them as shown here: https://i.rankmath.com/cKpIWW.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
