    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Once done, remove all the sitemaps and submit only the sitemap_index.xml in Google Search Console and wait for Google to recrawl the sitemap.

For more details, please refer to this tutorial guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/

Please let us know how that goes.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

You can redirect all the variations of your website to the preferred variation.

Please head over to your website’s admin area > Settings > General and the URL that you see in the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) fields are the preferred variation of your website and you need to redirect all other variations to this URL. https://i.rankmath.com/tpEX16

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We’re sorry for the trouble that you’re facing.

Could you please confirm if you have deleted all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account and then again submitted only the sitemap_index.xml?

If yes, then please give Google some time to crawl your website again and reflect on the changes.

Also, I suggest you clear your website’s cache, since, Google might be seeing a cached version of your website.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Thank you.

I followed all the instructions that you given . I also waited for Google crawler to be crawled, but my site is still showing 0 sitemap index. please help me

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow-up, and apologies for the delay.

I’ve checked your sitemap, and it seems that it is already working fine. Your latest post in your sitemap is already showing on the Google search results page as well.

Please keep in mind that Google doesn’t have to find any URLs in the sitemap_index.xml file. There Google only has to find the sub-sitemaps. And in those sitemaps is where your site URLs are and where Google should discover and index all your URLs.

Please also make sure that you have already excluded your sitemap from being cached by following the steps in this link and get in touch with your web host and have them clear any serverside cache and bypass this sitemap index from their cache.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

I try all instructions that you given to me and I wait for 1 week but my issue is not solved yet. I facing problem in ranking please help me

    Hello

Thank you for getting back to us,

Usually when you get the notice on "indexed, not submitted in the sitemap" this means that Google has found, crawled, and indexed a page, and it didn’t need the sitemap to discover the URL.

So long us you have marked all your pages that you want to have indexed as an index, Google will eventually crawl them and index them.

The notice Total Discovered URLs 0 that you see in your GSC would in this case mean that the URLs contained in the sitemap were already found by Googlebot by other means, instead of via the sitemap. For example, Googlebot may have found the URLs from internal links or possibly from links on another site.

Also, note that Google allocates a crawl budget to every website and it stops crawling when it exhausts that budget. It is possible that Google hasn’t allocated enough crawl budget for your site yet.

You can as well confirm if the issue is really with the Rank Math sitemap by using a 3rd party sitemap plugin. Just make sure you have disabled the Sitemap module of Rank Math in WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard when using a 3rd party sitemap plugin.

If the other plugin works, please do let us know.

We are looking forward to helping you.
