    hi

On my site I do have 85 articles. I am seeing on google search console sitemap page “sitemap_index.xml” has 67 URLs and “post-sitemap.xml” 85 URLs. But as far as I know, “sitemap_index.xml” supposed to have more URLs than “post-sitemap.xml”

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

As you have submitted two sitemaps(index and post), Google has crawled all 85 URLs of the post sitemap and 67 URLs of the index sitemap.

Google crawls the sitemap and website according to the crawl budget of the website. It is possible that the crawl budget for your website is exhausted and Google is not able to discover the URLs within your index sitemap.

Please exclude the sitemaps from caching and remove the sitemaps from the Search Console and submit only the sitemap_index.xml for Google to crawl and index the website efficiently.

I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.
