sitemap.xml still redirects to sitemap-index.xml

    I deactivated rankmath but my sitemap still redirects to sitemap-index.xml. There’s nothing in my .htaccess that indicated a redirect, so I’m wondering why that’s happening. I can’t submit my sitemap to Google Search Console as it says they can’t fetch (due to the redirect). Thanks in advance for your help!

    Can you please follow these steps?
    1.Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2.Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
