sitemap to google search console

Sorry if this is a duplicate because i am not sure if my other email went through.

I recently updated a domain with a new website. I have followed the following directions that were listed in another ticket but have questions about whether my new sitemap has been picked up by google.

I made the site visible to search engines and confirmed via : https://smallseotools.com/meta-tags-analyzer/

Flushed the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

I was unable to exclude sitemap files. I use GoDaddy’s Managed WordPress and they said this didn’t apply since i only use the Varnish cache on their side and that doesn’t cache the sitemap.

Then I removed the current sitemap from GSC and submitted the new one.

However on my GSC it says that the Sitemap index processed successfully. It also earlier said over 100 URLs were discovered, not the numbered has lowered to 64. When i click on the sitemap link ad look under the sitemap read section there are no URLs listed it is blank, the “See Index Coverage” is greyed out and when i click on “Open sitemap” it is a blank page. When i check the sitemap link before submitting i see the sitemaps

Based on my experience submitting sitemaps to Google I feel like something is not right. Is this the right process?
