    Hi,
    I have optimized sitemap using RankMath plugin.
    I have tried to submit it in search console but facing an error.
    “Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Use a supported sitemap format.”

    I have submitted the correct xml version i.e. https://art4u.pt/sitemap_index.xml
    because robots.txt file is also not working: https://art4u.pt/robots.txt

    Is there anything, you can help me with?
    I guess it’s something to do with the hosting security?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    I checked the sitemap, it is working fine.

    However, please add this filter in the theme’s functions.php file:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

    Here is a guide you can follow to add the filter:

    Once done, clear the cache and resubmit the sitemap in the Search Console.

    Hi,
    I have placed given function and cleared the cache as well. But the issue same. sitemap is working fine but search console is showing an error.
