Sitemap Submission

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I have checked your sitemap and it is working fine for me. I also validated your sitemap using https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html and the sitemap was successfully validated.

One thing that I noticed is 2 variations of your sitemap are returning 200 status.

Please note that except for the preferred variation (which should return only a 200 status), all the non-preferred variations of the website should redirect to the preferred variation and return a 301 + 200 status.

Please follow the steps in this link:
https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#5-check-for-the-correct-version-of-the-sitemap and redirect to the correct variation.

You can also get in touch with your web host regarding this.

Once this is fixed, please follow the below steps and see if that helps:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

3. Clear your website’s cache and remove all the sitemaps from your Google Search Console account, and then submit only the main sitemap: /sitemap_index.xml.

I just checked your sitemap and it is working fine at my end.

There is no /projects sitemap, however, a https://futureproofdigital.ie/portfolio-sitemap.xml is present, as you wanted.

Have a look at the below screenshot –

Could you please clear your site and browser cache or check the sitemap in an incognito window and check if the sitemap is displaying fine for you?

Next, I also checked your robots.txt file and it does not contain a link to your sitemap.

Below-mentioned screenshot describes what your robots.txt file should look like:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
  
Sitemap: https://futureproofdigital.ie/sitemap_index.xml

Once done, please remove all the submitted sitemaps and resubmit your main sitemap – sitemap_index.xml and give Google some time to recrawl your website. Google will use that to get your other sitemaps.
