    Sorry but your knowledge base isn’t clear. When the Images in Sitemaps setting (default) is on, the sitemap XML file just includes the number of images in each post. How does that help? I was under the impression that a separate image sitemap XML file would be created.

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    The sitemap also includes the URL of your images. You can check that by viewing the source of your sitemap. view-source:https://yoursitemapurl. It only shows the count in the frontend but the URLs are already there and search engines will be able to crawl and index them for the image search.
