Hello,
Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
It seems like you haven’t added the rewrite rules in your nginx config file. Please add the code given below to the nginx config file:
# START Nginx Rewrites for Rank Math Sitemaps
rewrite ^/sitemap_index.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=1 last;
rewrite ^/([^/]+?)-sitemap([0-9]+)?.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=$1&sitemap_n=$2 last;
# END Nginx Rewrites for Rank Math Sitemaps
If you are not sure how to do that then you can ask your host and they will add the code for you.
This should fix the issue with your sitemap.
do they all have to be loaded into the search console? or is it sufficient to load only a complete one?
You only need to submit the main sitemap(sitemap_index.xml) in Google Search Console. As the main sitemap already includes other sitemaps, all the URLs will be crawled and indexed by Google.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hello,
Thank you for the update.
I’ve tried installing the File Manager plugin to your site, but it is only for your website’s content directory.
Unfortunately, you may need to get in touch with your web host for further assistance to add the redirect in the Nginx config file.
The file is normally located in one of /usr/local/nginx/conf, /etc/nginx, or /usr/local/etc/nginx
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
