Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
This is likely a caching issue, the URLs should be automatically updated. Could you please do the following:
1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Hit the save button once.
2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings
Hit the save button once.
That should fix the issue.
P.S It is always recommended to exclude your sitemap URLs from caching on your site.
If the issue persists, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
Okay thanks for that. Should it remove the ‘old url’s? because they are still showing.

Hello,
No, it is better to keep them (at least for now) and set up some 301 redirections to the new URLs (if you didn’t already) so Google when crawls the URLs knows the new URLs.
Looking forward to help you.
When Semrush runs an audit on my site it shows these redirected url’s in my sitemap as critical errors and suggests they be removed from the sitemap. How do i do that with Rank Math.
ThanksHello,
Could you share (in the Sensitive Data section) the URLs you want to remove? Also, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Okay login and urls are in the sensitive data box
Hello Mark,
I have checked your sitemap and the URLs you have listed to be removed no longer appear the same from my end. Could you please check your sitemap from another browser or in incognito to confirm this.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Checked in Chrome, Firefox and Safari and incognito.
All the url’s I listed are 100% visible!- This reply was modified 4 years, 4 months ago by Mark Oakley. Reason: image attached
Also please bear in mind this was brought to me attention by an independent SemRush crawl of the website. Just done a fresh crawl and they are still showing from Semrush.
Hello,
Please update the access details, they don’t seem to be working for me.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Sorry I have added login at the bottom of the sensitive data. Can’t we just create a new sitemap? Thanks Mark
Hello,
The posts are showing in your sitemap because they are still there in your posts list and still set to index. You have set redirection rules to the new posts but to remove the old posts, you have to either set them to noindex or delete the posts themselves since they are no longer needed.
Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
