Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemap not updating. It sounds like there may be a conflict with another plugin or theme, or possibly a caching issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
-
Check for Plugin Conflicts: Use the Health Check plugin to determine if there is a conflict with another plugin or your theme.
-
Flush Sitemap Cache: If you have caching enabled, try flushing the sitemap cache and ensure that the sitemap is excluded from caching plugins. You can find instructions on how to do this in our guide on excluding sitemaps from caching.
-
Check for Static Files: Ensure that there are no static files named
sitemap_index.xmlon your server that could be conflicting with the dynamically generated sitemap. You can check this via FTP. -
Rewrite Rules: If you are using an Apache or Nginx server, ensure that the appropriate rewrite rules are set up in your
.htaccessor Nginx configuration file. You can find the necessary rules in our documentation:- For Apache: Apache Rewrite Rules
- For Nginx: Nginx Rewrite Rules
-
Check Robots.txt: Make sure that your
robots.txtfile is not blocking access to your sitemap. You can check this in the Rank Math settings under Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.
If you have tried all these steps and the issue persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to help you resolve it soon!

Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
When you submit a sitemap and it doesn’t show the sub-sitemaps it means that it hasn’t been processed yet. For newly submitted sitemaps it can take some days for this to happen and for Google to see the sub-sitemaps.
We checked the sitemap and it’s accessible to Googlebot so there’s nothing technically wrong with it.
Thank you.
It takes 2-3 months ? I submitted sitemap 2-3 months ago but still same, no new post updating in sitemap or not any other changes that’s why I submitted ticket here. I know Google takes time for indexing…
Hello,
This domain is very recent and the oldest post on the website is from the beginning of October, so essentially from a month ago.
Even if you have submitted a sitemap 2 or 3 months ago that is not relevant for the current content on the website Google will need a very good reason to crawl the content of the website, such as the content being fresh and high quality.
We just looked at some of the pages you have on your website and they are very generic and provide answers that already already available in thousands of other results on SERPs.
The only thing that our plugin controls is the technical aspects of the sitemap and you can test the sitemap with the following tool to see that is passing validation: https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html
We cannot force Google to process the sitemap, as that only happens when there’s a very good reason for it as we mentioned above. Google won’t waste resources if it doesn’t deem it necessary.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions related to the plugin.
So what’s your suggestion? Waiting for another few weeks? Or any other settings change ?
Hello,
If the sitemap is already updating, you should focus on generating unique, high-quality content that stands out in your niche, as Google prioritizes fresh and valuable information. Please keep at it and over time, Google should increase the chance of crawling your site and sitemap faster.
Additionally, you can try using Google Search Console’s ‘Request Indexing’ tool for individual URLs.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the information… Let’s wait and see what happens….
Hello,
