Sitemap not updating

    Hi there,

    I’ve noticed that my sitemap isn’t always updating.

    I’ve read how to exclude it from cache, but I don’t think it’s a caching issue. Clearing page, object, Cloudflare, and Bunny.net cache didn’t resolve it. Neither did going to https://newpulselabs.com/post-sitemap.xml?=1, which should break cache.

    If I update Links Per Sitemap in my RankMath settings, then everything gets refreshed again.

    Any ideas as to why this could be happening?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Please ensure that the sitemaps are excluded from caching in Cloudflare:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/#cloudflare

    Also, add this filter in the theme’s functions.php file:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

    Then, purge the cache from Cloudflare, clear the cache and check the sitemap.

    Hi there,

    I double checked the sitemaps before and they were not getting cached in Cloudflare or anywhere else at all.

    The sitemaps got stuck again, so I’ve added that script. It refreshed the sitemaps right away, so I’ll keep an eye out to see if they happen to get stuck again.

    Let us know if you face the issue again with the sitemaps. However, it is still recommended to follow this guide to exclude your sitemaps from Cloudflare caching if you haven’t already: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/#cloudflare
