Can you please try disabling all plugins on your end except the Rank Math plugin? Then, enable each plugin one-by-one until the issue is reproduced, you should be able to determine what plugin that may be causing the sitemap issue.
If you can’t afford affecting your users with this troubleshooting method, are you able to create a staging website on your end? If you can, please create one, reproduce the error there, and share the login access here, this will allow us to deeply investigate the issue and resolve it permanently without worrying about breaking the live website.
