"Sitemap not a submitted or a known sitemap index."

    Under the RankMath->Search Console->Sitemaps tab, after I click on the “Refresh Sitemaps” button I get the following message on top: https://subtlewines.com/sitemap_index.xml’ is not a submitted or a known sitemap index.” and it says “No Sitemap submitted” below.

    However I thought I did everything I need to do and:
    1- RankMath -> Search Console Settings -> shows: shows my URL in the “Search Console Profile” combo box –> OK?
    2- RankMath -> Sitemap Settings -> Shows: When “sitemaps are enabled, your sitemap index can be found here: http://www.subtlewines.com/sitemap_index.xml” –> OK?
    3- RankMath -> SEO Analysis displays: “Sitemaps: Your site has one or more sitemaps.” -> OK?

    Then why am I getting this message (“Sitemap not a submitted or a known sitemap index.”) in the RankMath->Search Console->Sitemaps tab?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    You need to submit your sitemap to Google via the Google search console dashboard. Rank Math will then be able to get the data from the search console.
