I was having a sitemap xml error. I fixed it by applying a script for removing whitespace. After that sitemap is not showing an error but it’s not opening and shows “503 Service Unavailable” for the post sitemap. Please Resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Could you please share your sitemap URL with us so that we can check the issue further for you?
Meanwhile, please check the PHP values of your site by heading over to the WordPress dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info tab > Server. If they are set too low on your site, please ask your hosting provider to upgrade the values according to the following:
PHP Memory Limit: 512M Max input time: 150 PHP time limit: 120 PHP max input variables: 1000
Also, please make sure that the Links Per Sitemap is set to 200-500 in WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > General: https://rankmath.com/kb/configure-sitemaps/#links-per-sitemap

Thank you.

It opens sometimes but it does not open immediately after I publish a post. My posts are unable to index in the Google search console because of this. Please help!
Hello,
Can you please try following the steps below to see if that works for you?
#1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp#2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server.
For plugins, please follow this article ( if you use caching plugins ) :
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/For Cloudflare, please follow this article ( if you use cloudflare ) :
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/#cloudflare#3. Also kindly apply the following filter code to your site.
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
Here’s how you can add filter/hook to your WordPress site:
https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/We hope that helps, and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
I have done all three steps but still, the problem is the same.
Hello,
5xx errors are usually caused due to server misconfiguration or other server issues. If you’re facing this problem frequently, we suggest you to contact with your hosting provider and inform them about this issue.
You can also share the website error log with us. Having the error log file will give a clear idea of why this might be happening.
You can follow this guide to enable debugging in WordPress
https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ or you can ask your web host and they will help you locate the log file.Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
I am still facing the issue.
whitespace before the XML declaration, how to Regenerate Sitemap using rank math?
” <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?><?xml-stylesheet type=”text/xsl” href=”//thejobjunction.in/main-sitemap.xsl”?>”
can you remove this whitespace?
How can I remove this?
Hello,
This might be added by a blank line/space in your wp-config.php file or your theme’s functions.php file.
If there is no such blank space in your wp-config.php or functions.php file, check for a plugin conflict using the Health Check plugin (https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/).

I have tried all these things very carefully and none of them has worked for me.
Please fix it on my behalf.
Hello,
In this case we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
I am waiting for your response since morning. Please resolve this as quickly as possible.
Please Reply. I am waiting for so long.
Hello,
I have applied the whitespace fix on your site and now the sitemap is working fine. Please note that this fix will be removed after the WordPress update and you will have to apply it again by following this guide: https://wejn.org/stuff/wejnswpwhitespacefix.php.html
To avoid doing this after every update, you will have to check your site’s files to figure out from where this whitespace is coming from.
Hope that helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
