  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemap not displaying images correctly. This can happen for a few reasons. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Image Settings: Ensure that the images are set to be included in the sitemap. You can do this by going to the Rank Math settings and checking the sitemap settings to confirm that images are enabled.

    2. Flush Permalinks: Sometimes, flushing permalinks can resolve issues with sitemaps. You can do this by going to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and simply clicking Save Changes without making any changes.

    3. Exclude Sitemap from Caching: If you are using a caching plugin, make sure to exclude your sitemap from being cached. This ensures that the latest data is always served. You can find guidance on how to do this in our tutorial on excluding sitemaps from caching.

    4. Check for Plugin Conflicts: There might be a conflict with another plugin or theme that is preventing images from being included in the sitemap. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any conflicts.

    5. Review Image URLs: Ensure that the image URLs are correct and accessible. If the images are hosted externally or have restrictions, they may not appear in the sitemap.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with any additional details or errors you may be encountering, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention!

    Hello,

Please note that Rank Math detects only the images inserted inside the post_content, so images that were inserted on a page as a thumbnail, gallery, background, or slider will not be detected and included in the sitemap.

If you have a custom field for the images, you can also include them in Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > Posts > Image Custom Fields; this would help Rank Math detect the images.

    Looking forward to helping you.
