It says “Sitemap processed successfully” in search console but itmonly shows 74 posts instead of 175. So more than half f our posts are not in sitemap for some reason. How to fix that?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Google must have crawled your other URLs from various sources without the help of sitemap because when you search this “site:yourdomain.com,” you will see “About 234 results” found on SERPs (See the screenshot link I have shared inside the sensitive data section). And that is completely fine. You should not worry about that. At some point, if you feel like your new content isn’t appearing inside SERPs, then only you should be concerned.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

thanks for your reply and good to know it isn’t causing any issues apparently. but i would still like to fix the sitemap and all the posts to appear there. how can i do that?
also, this site seems to have some indexing issues so that could be a cause of this

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

I can already see that most of the posts are appearing on the sitemap as currently there are 177, See screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/RsPsL4

Also, most of your posts are appearing on SERPs as you can see here: https://i.rankmath.com/44IS1k

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

It doesn’t help since in search console it still shows less than half posts. I just want to fix the sitemap and have all the posts appear there…are you going to tell me how to do it? thanks

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

Please note that Google allocates a crawl budget to every website and it stops crawling when it exhausts that budget.

However, as mentioned by my colleague in his reply, that Google might have indexed your pages via other means than the sitemaps.

As long as your posts are getting indexed and there are no errors displayed in the GSC account, it is completely normal to have fewer number of discovered URLs than actually present in the sitemaps.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
