    Meanwhile, please follow the steps below for initial troubleshooting:

    1. Ensure you’re using the latest version of your plugins/theme including Rank Math.

    2. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    3. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server:

    I’ve checked all the site maps. there are no HTML tags. Wonder why is error is showing!

    Hello,

    I’ve checked your sitemap, and it is redirecting to your homepage. Please follow the steps above to fix this issue.

    Once done, remove all your submitted sitemaps in your Google Search Console account and resubmit your main sitemap `/sitemap_index.xml then give Google some time to recrawl your site.
