I have already contact with the Rankmath team lead 404 error and they said “This is usually related to caching issues, I recommend getting in touch with your sitemap support team to assist you in resolving this”

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Could you confirm if you’re using another plugin for generating your sitemap /atom.xml?

However, it seems that your site is not redirecting from HTTP to HTTPS, that’s why it’s resulting in an error 404 page not found. I’ve attached the screenshot in the designated Sensitive Data section.

You need to ensure that the other 3 variations are all redirected to the 4th and finally chosen/preferred one (with or without WWW). Please follow the steps in the link for fixing these redirect issues:
    https://htaccessbook.com/htaccess-redirect-https-www/

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

No, currently I am not using any other plugin for generating my sitemap /atom.xml?

I had switched to RankMath from Yoast Seo 5 months ago. But I facing this atom.xml error from the last 3 days.

    Hello,

    Thank you for following up.

I’ve checked your sitemap, and it seems that the /atom.xml is not even included in your list of posts/pages.

Please note that we only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated. You can get further insight into them by enabling the advanced monitor at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/monitor-404-errors/#advanced-404-monitor

That will give you more information like referrer and user-agent. You can use that information to track down the source or find out if it is just bots generating those errors.

You can also fix these errors by redirecting them to a related page on your website:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/

Or, you can add them to the exclusion list at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor > Exclude Paths

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
