Hi everybody,
My sitemap still has the 404 error. I’ve tried everything recommended here on the site and I couldn’t. My website already has content and I don’t know what else to do.

Hello,
Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please follow these steps?
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/That should fix the issue. If it doesn’t then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

Hello,
After inspecting your website, I found that the issue persists even after adding the rewrite rules in the .htaccess file. Also, It seems like you have a physical sitemap.xml file is present on your website. Please kindly remove it from your server and see if that resolves your issue?
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
unfortunately i don’t know how to find and delete the .xml file
Hello,
Thank you for getting in touch.
You can delete it or you can also tell your hosting provider to do that.
If you want to delete the previous sitemap file, follow the steps stated below:
1. Login to the Cpanel.
2. Open File Manager and go to the root directory of your website.
3. The sitemap.xml file should be in the same location as the index file (the first page) of your website if it was created previously.
4. Right-click on sitepmap.xml file then click on “Delete” and check the box.
5. Finally click on the “confirm”. That’s it.Hope this helps you. Looking forward to helping you again.
Thank you.
Ok, thanks, i will try
