  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your website not being indexed by Google and the sitemap error. It sounds frustrating, especially with the decrease in traffic.

The "Discovered – currently not indexed" status indicates that Google has found your pages but hasn’t crawled or indexed them yet. Here are some steps you can take to address this issue:

    1. Check for Technical Issues: Ensure there are no technical problems preventing Google from crawling your site. This includes checking your robots.txt file to make sure it’s not blocking Googlebot from accessing your pages. You can use the robots.txt testing tool to verify this.

    2. Improve Content Quality: Make sure that the content on your pages is valuable and not thin or duplicate. High-quality content is more likely to be indexed.

    3. Internal Linking: Include internal links to the pages you want indexed from other high-traffic and relevant pages on your site. This can help Google discover and prioritize these pages.

    4. Sitemap Submission: If you are experiencing a temporary processing error with your sitemap, try resubmitting it in Google Search Console after ensuring it is correctly formatted and accessible. You can refer to our guide on fixing sitemap issues for more details.

    5. Use Instant Indexing Plugin: Consider using our Instant Indexing plugin for Google to help submit your URLs directly to Google, which may speed up the indexing process.

For more detailed guidance on fixing the "Discovered – currently not indexed" error, you can check our article here.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Rank Math support.

We have noticed that some of your pages have already been indexed. Could you please provide us with example URLs of pages that have been published for some time but are still not indexed?

Regarding the “Discovered, currently not indexed” issue, this indicates that Google is aware of your page but has chosen not to index it — or not to index it just yet. This could be due to various reasons, such as your website being relatively new or having poor content and internal link structure. We have addressed this in detail in this guide.

That said, your sitemap appears to be functioning correctly, so Google should have no issues crawling it. However, it seems that your website does have some poor content and a weak internal link structure. Additionally, some default theme placeholders are still visible. We recommend investing more time in refining your website. Once your site is fully completed with quality content, it will be easier for Google to index it.

If you need assistance with anything else, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Hello,

Only one from the couple of URLs you sent is indexed:

However, as for the rest, please submit them to your Google Search Console’s URL Inspection tool and share a full screenshot of the report.

If the issue is still about Discovered, currently not indexed, then you’ll have to wait for Google to index them as Google already discovered the pages but they didn’t specify in reason why they don’t index them on the SERP.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

In total, only three articles on my website are indexed by Google. All others are not indexed.

    Hello,

Please note that Google considers various factors while indexing. Your frequency of posting and your site’s domain authority are just two of the many factors Google considers when indexing new web pages.

Google assigns a crawl budget to your website depending on these factors (especially these two), and that has a direct effect on how soon (i.e. how efficiently) your content can be indexed.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,
