    Hi..
I am asking for your help after a few weeks , following another issue(#208126), which I hoped was resolved.
I had a problem with the URL due to a “Remove category base” change. The site recovered after deleting certain categories and creating new ones, and I was asked to remove the sitamap from Google and submit a new one, also following a problem with Google’s index console. And since then basically and until now, I have not seen the site in a proper state. More than two weeks have passed, and the pages are indexed but only those indexed by the crawler are also online. Pages reached by sitemap not entered and Appears in the console following error Page with redirect: The URL is a redirect, and therefore was not added to the index .
I will note that there is no cash on the map and in any case I refreshed cash.
    tnx

  • Hi Brian thanks for coming back to me.
I checked the 9 problematic categories I deleted, with the “site” command, and they are all not indexed.
When I checked redirect – I found the categories all with 301 or 410. I attached some examples.
I waited a few more days – but no change.
I will note that in Analytics things look different and there is an increase in the number of users and organic entries, already from 3 weeks ago – a few days after I attached the first map. I do not quite understand why GSC insists that all site pages redirect to another url.
    tnx

    Hello,

Upon inspecting those URLs, I can replicate the issue, and those URL does have 410 and 301 redirection rule. If you want to remove the 410 redirections, please remove them from the Rank Math redirection module. However, 301 redirections are done by WordPress Itself.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hi
I’m sorry but I do not understand how the answer helps me to the real problem – that GSC still recognizes my webpages as redirect..

    Hello,

What my colleague was referring to is the fact that some of the redirections are happening because you have those in the Rank Math module that you can access by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Redirections.

The 302 redirects are coming from WordPress so they might be caused by some recent change in your permalinks structure and WordPress is now redirecting those to the new structure.

Please note that changing permalink structure on a live website can lead to situations similar to this and in order to fully recover you need to stick with the new structure and wait for Google to properly index the new structure and forget the old one.

That can take a lot of time and that’s the reason we don’t recommend changing that on a live site.

Hope this helps provide further clarity.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
