Hi my XML validation results were showing an error before and now it’s showing no errors which is a positive change.. Still though on google search console I’m seeing a couldn’t fetch sitemap error. I followed the troubleshooting guide on the matter but I still am seeing it. Will it just take a bit of time to fix or can you help me resolve it faster.

    Hello,

Thank you for the screenshot. We need to have the same status for the sitemaps too which are giving status 200 for all versions as shown in the following screenshot:

Hope that helps. If you have questions, ask away.

Guys I’m still having trouble with this and my host provider support are terrible. They’re telling me that I need to upload the sitemap.

BLUEHOST CHAT – ‘I see that the sitemap file is still not uploaded on the file manager and that is the reason why the sitemap file is not getting executed and you are seeing the errors. First, the sitemap file has to be uploaded, for which you can use a plugin and set it up.
After the file is generated, we can set the sitemap to work.’

Is this what you tried to do when you saw the server restrictions in place? They’ve asked me to tell them what the error said or what the restriction was when you tried to do this.

How can I download my sitemap and then upload it where they’ve requested? I’m seriously about to pull my hair out with all this I’m so frustrated. If you can help me any further that would be much appreciated. I am actually a pro member with rankmath on my other website yachtbible.com and I’ll be looking to go to a pro membership on this website shortly too.

    Hello,

Our plugin doesn’t generate a physical sitemap file but that is completely fine by Google and it’s a good way to make sure that the sitemap is updated consistently.

So, it’s perfectly normal to not see the sitemap files on the root of your server in the file manager.

Have you already tried the method mentioned here? https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#num-6-rename-the-sitemap-file

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
