Sitemap could not be read error in google search console

    I have an exciting issue with the sitemap. I don’t know how to solve this.

    Could you please take a look at this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/144ilw4

    I have deleted the sitemap and resubmit it. But this doesn’t help me.

    It’s very important for me to fix this issue withing a short time.

    Could you please tell me how can I solve this?

    Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/xXXhDt

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    That should fix the issue. Please let us know if that does not. We are here to assist.

    That is not the expected behavior of the plugin, We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Hello,

    Thanks for getting back.

    You were not able to see those options in your sitemap settings because you were using the Easy Mode of Rank Math. I have switched to Advanced Mode from WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard and now all the settings are visible.

    I flushed the cache of your sitemap and now it’s working fine. Please check and remove all previously submitted sitemaps from GSC and resubmit your main sitemap(sitemap_index.xml).

    I checked your post and page sitemaps with the XML Validator tool and they both are validating without any issue. Can you please check in your GSC what is the error and share it with us?

    Thank you for your reply.

    The last read date of the sitemap is 5/18/21, Wait for Google to revisit the sitemap and the error will go away. You should not worry about that.
