Thank you for your query, and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
Yes you are correct on this regards as you should submit just one sitemap link to your Google Search Console.
The main sitemap links is the one and only xml sitemap link that must be submitted as all the other subsitemaps and the site urls inside those will be crawled automatcally.
Rank Math combines all the individual sitemaps – for posts, pages, videos, etc. – into a single sitemap index.
We do this so that you only have to submit the sitemap index link, which will be automatically updated when you change your site structure and its content.

But that does not answer my question. I have access to Search Console, but what should I type in the “Add a new sitemap” box in Search Console?
Should I include the link that appears in Rank math, sitemap settings, general? Should I copy the link that appears at the top of this section?

Yes, you should submit the main sitemap that appears in Rank Maths > Sitemap Settings > General.
The main sitemap looks like this: https://example.com/sitemap_index.xml
Please replace the ‘example.com’ with your site url.
