  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please share the sitemap URL with us so that we can check this further for you?

Please note that the Discovered URLs 0 that you see in Google Search Console just means that the URLs in the sitemap were already found by Googlebot by other means, instead of via the sitemap. For example, Googlebot may have found the URLs from internal links or possibly from links on another site.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Your sitemap appears to be working fine.

As mentioned earlier, most likely GSC is showing 0 discovered URL for your sitemap because the URL was found earlier by other means. That’s completely fine and it won’t harm your SEO. Since, the sitemap is only a ‘backup’ crawling/discovery mechanism to tell Google to crawl URLs, it’s not necessary for Google to find your site URLs only using sitemap. Google should be able to discover those URLs by any other ways too.

So, Google doesn’t always find your site URLs only using your sitemap. The main fact here is to index your URLs on Google, either by sitemap or any other ways.

    Hope that clarifies your doubt.

    Thank you.
