Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your site title not being displayed correctly in Google search results. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
To ensure that your site name appears as intended, please follow these steps:
-
Add a Site Name to Your Homepage Title Tag:
- Go to WordPress Dashboard → Settings and enter your site name in the Site Title field. You can also add a description in the Tagline field.

- After entering the details, scroll down and click Save Changes.

-
Check Your Homepage Display Settings:
- Navigate to WordPress Dashboard → Settings → Reading. Check how your homepage is set to display. If it’s set to display a static page, make sure the page title includes your site name.

-
Add a Site Name to Your Website Structured Data:
- Ensure that the Schema module is enabled in Rank Math by going to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO.

- Then, go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Local SEO and fill in the required fields, especially the Website Name field.

-
Wait for Google to Re-crawl Your Site:
- After making these changes, it may take some time for Google to re-crawl your site and update the search results. You can also submit your sitemap through Google Search Console to expedite this process.
If you have followed these steps and are still experiencing issues, please reply to this ticket with any additional details or screenshots, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.
Thank you for your patience, and we hope this helps resolve your issue!

Why Google Displays URL Instead of Site Name in SERP? » Rank Math
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Please note that there are various sources that Google uses to define your site name on SERPs including:
- og:site_name meta tag
- WebSite structured data
- Content in
title
elements
- Heading elements
Among them, Rank Math automatically includes the og:site_name
meta tag and the WebSite Schema on your website, and the rest you’ll have to include manually. You can also check the Google documentation on site-name: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/site-names
However, as is mentioned in the documentation, this process is automated by the algorithm and even though it takes into account the information on the website, it is still not guaranteed that your site name will come up correctly in Google SERPs since it’s solely decided by Google what they found relevant and user-friendly and which one they want to show.

Hope this helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
