    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

That error is caused due to some cache plugin caching your sitemaps. Which cache plugin are you using?

Usually, if you add the following URLs as excluded in your cache exclusions, the issue should be solved, but if you let us know which cache plugin you are using, we can give you exact instructions:

    /(.*)sitemap(.*).xml
    /(.*)sitemap.xsl

You can learn more about fixing the cache issue with the sitemap here : https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi,

    I am using WP Rocket.
    I’ve now used:
    /(.*)sitemap(.*).xml
    /(.*)sitemap.xsl as never cache url’s.
    I’ve cleared cache.

Resubmitted site maps via google consol, still getting the Couldn’t fetch error.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

Please also share your sitemap URL to further check this issue.

Meanwhile, we have a guide on how to troubleshoot this issue on Google Search Console:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
