Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
This issue is a bit odd, I have deactivated the Rank Math sitemap module and installed the Google XML sitemaps plugin but the same 404 error is reported on the page.
I would suggest that you reach out to your host and check whether there is a server configuration that is blocking the creation of virtual sitemaps on the server.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I am with Amazon LightSail on a Plesk server and they are not able to figure this out either. I just don’t get it. It must be a Plesk issue but I have no idea what it could be. Been troubleshooting this all day. Thanks.
Hi Kyle,
Thanks for the follow up.
I have just brought this up with our developers and we will be getting back to you in a short while to share our insight on this.
We appreciate your patience.
Hi there,
Thanks for the patience.
It is likely that there is an issue with your rewrite rules, could you please install this plugin and check whether performing a soft flush will have an effect on this issue.
Let us know how this goes.
Hey Michael,
I believe I got it sorted out.
You are correct. NGINX had a rewrite rule tucked away and I found it when I finally located the nginx.conf file.
Seems to be working.
I do appreciate your follow up and I look forward to diving deeper into Rankmath now.
Thanks!
