    hi
I am actually trying to the opposite and not reveal the site to be searchable.
this is because it is a company training site which has learndash (a wordpress LMS) integrated.

I have gone onto sitemap setting – clicked on each heading i.e. posts, pages, sessions (sessions is learndash) and i believe ive turned off “include this post type in the XML sitemap)

however if i search on google all of the pages are visible.

Is there a way to stop the search engines accessing the details?

    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch and I am extremely sorry about the trouble this might have caused.

You can set your whole site to noindex by simply heading to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading and check the option to discourage search engines from indexing your site.

Please note that even with this set, it is usually up to search engines to honor this, which is not always the case especially if a site has a good amount of traffic.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
