Hello,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing issues with your site icon not showing in Google search results. If you’ve uploaded the site icon to Rank Math and it’s not updating in the search results, there are a few things you can check:
-
Favicon Setup: Ensure that you have set your website’s favicon correctly. You can do this at WordPress Dashboard → Appearance → Customize → Site Identity.
-
Cache: Clear any site, plugin, or server-level cache that might be preventing the updated favicon from appearing in the search results. You can follow our guide on clearing cache in WordPress for detailed instructions.
-
Google Crawling: Keep in mind that Google’s favicon crawler occasionally crawls your site, and it may take some time for the updated favicon to reflect in the search results.
If after checking these points, the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to your theme provider as this could be related to your theme settings. They might be able to provide further assistance in ensuring the favicon displays correctly in the search results.
If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact our dedicated support team. They are available 24/7 to help you with any Rank Math-related queries.
Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We’re here to help you resolve this issue and improve your site’s visibility in search results.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please share your website URL here so we can take a closer look?
It is possible that Google is yet to re-index your website. You can request the indexing of the website by passing it through the URL Inspection Tool and request it there: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/ask-google-to-recrawl.
Please note that, according to Google, crawling and indexing can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days/weeks. Be patient and monitor progress using the URL Inspection tool.
Hope this helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
Thank you for your reply. My website URL is https://elanulv.com/
I’ve already requested the reindexing and it did’t work. It updates the page title and description in the search result, but not the icon, which is why it seemed strange to me
Hello,
It seems that the logo you are referring to on the search results is the favicon.
Our plugin is not responsible for controlling the favicon that appears on your website. Usually, that’s built into the theme options.
You can also check the guidelines that Google has for that here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/favicon-in-search
Please make sure that you have the same setup on your website.
Moreover, the favicon can take some time to update. You need to wait for Google to crawl the website after you have made the changes to it.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you for your explanation! Yes, the same icon is set via theme customization and it seems to meet all Google requirements. I’ll try to look for more info on what might be causing the problem then..
Hello,
Glad that helped.
