    Hello!
I have the pro version of RM.
My website has some health issues last days, lost ranking completely.
I checked for broken links, Rankmath shows different broken links from those ones in Google search console.
-Should I delete all broken links from Gopogle search console and RM?
-Are there any broken links I should not delete permantely?

I am also sending (below ingur links) a screenshot of the SEO analysis taken by RM (64/100 score) and
Wordpress Health tool (Should be improved). One week ago the health was good!

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issues you are facing with your website’s health and ranking. Thank you for providing the screenshots and details regarding the broken links.

When it comes to managing broken links, here are some steps to consider:

    1. Review the Broken Links: First, compare the broken links reported by Rank Math and Google Search Console. It’s essential to determine whether these links are genuinely harmful or if they are old links that no longer lead to relevant content.

    2. Deleting Links: You should only delete broken links that are not serving any purpose or are leading to pages that no longer exist. If a link is still relevant but broken (for example, a page that has been moved), consider redirecting it instead of deleting it.

    3. Permanent Deletion: Be cautious about permanently deleting links that might have been valuable in the past or could be restored. If a link was previously ranking well or had traffic, it might be worth investigating further before removal.

    4. Check for Other Issues: Besides broken links, other factors could contribute to your ranking loss, such as changes in content quality, site speed, mobile usability, or even algorithm updates from Google. Make sure to check your site’s overall health using tools like the Site Health Check plugin, which can help identify other potential issues.

    5. Monitor Indexation Status: Use Google Search Console to monitor your site’s indexation status and ensure that there are no crawl errors affecting your visibility in search results. You can also check the Index Status report in Rank Math’s Analytics for more insights.

    Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

Rank Math and Google Search Console may detect broken links differently due to indexing variations. You don’t need to delete links from GSC as they will drop off naturally over time. Instead of deleting broken links permanently, consider redirecting them to relevant pages using 301 redirects where possible.

As for your issue with the current evaluation of the SEO Analyzer, if you believe these tests are already addressed.

Please head over to your WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math → Status & Tools → Database Tools and click on the button “Clear SEO Analyzer”.

Do the images with RM seo analyser tool I posted above show the reason of the ranking lose?

If I completely unistall the website and start building it again from scratch, the new website gonna regain the ranking it achieved before the issue comes up??

    Hello,

You shouldn’t index any pages without content as they don’t have any SEO values and can affect your Domain Authority.

However, please note that ranking on Google depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization. Here are some reasons why your site might be experiencing a decline in ranking on Google.

    1. Seasonal Fluctuations: Certain industries or topics experience natural fluctuations in search volume throughout the year. If your website or content is related to a specific seasonal trend or event, the decline in ranking and impressions may be due to a decrease in search interest during this period.

    2. Algorithm Updates: Google frequently updates its search algorithms, which can impact the visibility of websites in search results. If there have been recent algorithm changes, it’s possible that your website’s ranking has been affected, leading to a decline in impressions.

    3. Technical Issues: It’s important to ensure that your website is properly indexed by search engines and that no technical issues are preventing Google from crawling and indexing your pages. Check for any errors or warnings in the Google Search Console that could be affecting your site’s visibility.

    4. Competitor Activity: Increased competition from other websites or changes in their SEO strategies can impact your ranking and impressions. If competitors are optimizing their content better or generating more relevant backlinks, it could lead to a decline in your own ranking and impressions.

To identify the specific reason for the decline in ranking and impressions, it’s essential to analyze your website’s performance, conduct a thorough review of your SEO strategy, and monitor changes in search trends and competitors.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

Οκ, thanks for answer, I got your point.
I estimate nothing from the above 4 cases affected ranking.
I am sure that its the pages without content I added is the reason (I posted their links above).

So now my question is, if I delete all these blank pages and the site has only the quality articles had before, will this fix the problem and probably the site will get ranked again?

Or If I delete them, broken links from their URLs will be left and maybe other technical issues will remain, so this will not fix the problem?

Can u tell me your opinion on this?
Is it better to completely unistall the website and rebuild it again?

    Hello,

Yes, having multiple empty pages can negatively impact your site’s rankings. Deleting them is a good step, but instead of just removing them, we recommend setting up redirects to relevant pages to prevent broken links. If you don’t have a relevant topic for that, 404 pages simply indicate the content is no longer available and Google should understand that.

If the rest of your site had quality content before, rankings should recover over time as Google re-crawls your site. A full website rebuild is unnecessary—just focus on fixing these issues and monitoring performance in Google Search Console.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.
