Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
Thanks for replying.
Even in debug mode with only this plugin enabled, the errors are being triggered.
It’s a live working site, will push a backup to my staging site now.
PFA the credentials needed;
Hello,
Thank you for that information.
The warning suggests that WordPress doesn’t have proper permission to perform most of the action on your website. You can check those on your WordPress Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info Tab: File System Permissions. I’ve attached a screenshot in the sensitive data section.
You can get in touch with your web host and check for any file permission issues on your site and fix the issue.
I hope that helps.
Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
Hello Reinelle,
Thank you, I will take a look. I have checked the permissions and they seem okay this end and the correct structure.
Will ask the host again.
Thank you
Are you able to elaborate which ones are the issues please?
I have checked and all the folders are 775. I’m not sure what else to check, is there something specific for this? Sorry to ask.
Thank you
All permissions are now fixed, the issue persists.
Fresh install, same happens.
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
Please check if your files’ permission is set to 644 and folders to 755. Here’s a link for more information:
https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-fix-file-and-folder-permissions-error-in-wordpress/
I hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hello,
The file permissions are all correct.
I have double checked and reinstalled and the same issue persists.
For this specific error, can you elaborate what the root cause is so I can investigate please?
Hello,
You may get these errors if there are outdated themes or plugins.
We suggest you please update all the plugins/themes you’re using and check if the issue occurs.
Also, try switching the theme and see if that fixes.
Please let us know how it goes.
Thank you
Hi,
I did all that and the same happens.
For now, I have gone back to Yoast, as I can’t seem to find what the issue is and no one seems to know either.
Many thanks
Hello,
Thank you for your patience, and apologies for the inconvenience.
Since you’re already using Yoast, let us know if we can still continue debugging this issue on your site by activating Rank Math.
Alternatively, you can create a staging site with the same issue as it seems that your site is currently live. This will also avoid your site getting any unexpected issues upon troubleshooting.
Here is a guide that could be really useful for you on how to create a staging site: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/
Once done, you can share the staging site’s WordPress and FTP logins in the sensitive data section.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi,
Yes no probs. I have a staging site, will push an update and then you can feel free to look.
The credentials are the same, but will post the URL when finished.
All the directories and files are correct from what I can see.
Thank you for any help you can offer, I want to migrate from Yoast to you so I appreciate it.
Kind regards
Hi all,
I have gone over the file write permissions once more and on the staging site at least, I can now activate it without issues.
Will try again on the main site shortly.
Thank you
Regards
Kris
Yes, still the same error.
It’s got to be file permissions.
I’m assuming it should be – 775 for dir
664 for files?
Definitely seems to be the fault, will see if I can rectify it.
