I tried changing the site title name in the %sitename% section to post author %name% i’ve been testing it for more than 1 month to change the site title to post author %name% but Google doesn’t index it. Can you help me to fix the error so that the post author (name) appears in google search. Thank You.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the indexing of your single post page title tag. It seems that you are trying to set the site title to display the post author’s name, but Google is not indexing it as expected.

Here are a few steps you can take to ensure that your post author name is indexed correctly:

    1. Check Your Title Tag Settings: Make sure that you have configured the title tag correctly in Rank Math. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and ensuring that the title format for your posts includes the %name% variable for the author.

    2. Use Structured Data: Ensure that you have enabled the Schema module in Rank Math. This can help Google understand your content better. You can enable it by going to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → Schema.
      Enable Schema in Rank Math

    3. Request Indexing: After making changes, you can request Google to reindex your page. Go to Google Search Console, enter your post URL, and click on REQUEST INDEXING.
      Click Request Indexing

    4. Check for Caching Issues: If you are using any caching plugins, clear the cache after making changes to ensure that Google sees the latest version of your page.

    5. Monitor for Changes: It may take some time for Google to reflect these changes in search results, so keep monitoring your indexed pages.

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

The author name is already appearing in the title of your posts in their source code.

You can also verify the title and description meta tags for those URLs if they are already set:

If the title/description is already set in the page’s source code, please note that Google and other search engines sometimes ignore the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

    Looking forward to helping you.
