Should I Redirect These Old Pages for Juice?

    Hi,

    So I’m going through my site in ahrefs on ‘Best by Links’ and I found a BUNCH of old pages I deleted several years ago.

    Some of these pages still have backlinks from some article directories with high domain authority and dofollow.

    MY QUESTIONS:

    1. Should I set up redirects from these pages to my site (and which pages)?

    2. What should I look out for on sites I would not want to redirect?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Here are few things I can suggest:
    1. Only redirect relevant URLs to other relevant pages on your website.
    2. Do not redirect URLs that have spammy backlinks.
    3. If you do not have any relevant pages, redirect them (including old deleted pages) to the homepage. (although we do not recommend this)
