There is indeed a chance that your normal traffic might change or drop once you switch to a different SEO plugin UNLESS you have correctly configured it.
To make sure that the old configuration from Yoast SEO will be imported to Rank Math, you may follow this KB guide. This should allow you to maintain the SEO configuration and will unlikely to drop traffic.
With all that said, you can always conduct a backup data of your website, monitor the traffic once you switched to Rank Math.
