Hello,
We apologize for the issues you are facing with Rank Math. Let’s address each of your concerns:
-
Category Sitemap 404 Error: If your category sitemap is returning a 404 error, it may be due to a conflict or misconfiguration. You can check if the sitemap is accessible by visiting `https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-common-robots-txt-issues/#robots-txt-is-not-valid-in-pagespeed-insights. If it loads correctly, but the category sitemap does not, you may need to check for any plugin conflicts or ensure that your permalinks are set correctly in WordPress.
-
Tag Sitemap Redirecting to Homepage: This issue can also be caused by a plugin conflict or incorrect settings. Ensure that there are no conflicting plugins and that your settings in Rank Math are configured properly. You can also try clearing your cache to see if that resolves the issue.
-
Robots.txt File Not Creating Dynamically: Rank Math generates a virtual robots.txt file automatically. If it’s not being created, check if there’s a physical robots.txt file in your site’s root directory that might be conflicting with Rank Math’s virtual file. You can delete any existing robots.txt file from your root directory via cPanel or FTP. After that, clear your website and server-level cache and check again.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
We checked and a robots.txt file generated by Rank Math is present on your site.
We investigated and discovered in the category and tag settings by navigating to WP dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Categories/Tag and can see that you have set both to “noindex” as shown below. When you set a page, post, category or tag to noindex, they will not be included in the sitemap.

We have changed this setting and the sitemap now works fine.
We also add the filter to Disable Rank Math Sitemap Cache in the WP Code plugin to prevent caching of the sitemap.
We hope this helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hello,
We deeply apologize for the unexpected delay in response. Your previous reply seems to have been stuck in our drafts section for some reason.
We checked your post tag sitemap and we can see it is working properly without any issues:

Also, the current robots.txt file is generated by Rank Math:

You can confirm this from the /?robots=1 URL where Rank Math generates the robots.txt initially.
However, we can see you’re currently using the Rank Math PRO plugin on your website, but the account you have used to open this ticket is the Rank Math free version.
Please search and forward a receipt from FastSpring.com so we can locate your account and verify it.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
