    Hello Rank Math Support,

I’m facing an issue where some of my custom post types are not appearing in the sitemap (sitemap_index.xml) generated by Rank Math, despite all the correct settings being in place. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the situation and everything I have tried so far:

    1. Custom Post Type Registration:
I’ve registered a custom post type named ensuring REST API visibility with ‘show_in_rest’ => true,

    2. Steps Taken to Include in Sitemap:
I have ensured all settings are correctly configured to include this post type in the sitemap:

    – Titles & Meta Settings: Under Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post Types, I have verified that “Cuentos” is set to Index and Include in Sitemap is enabled.
    – Sitemap Settings: Under Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > Post Types, the “Cuentos” post type is checked to be included in the sitemap.
    – No Exclusions: I confirmed that “Cuentos” is not excluded from any sitemap settings.
    – Flushed Rewrite Rules: I went to Settings > Permalinks and clicked Save Changes to flush the rewrite rules.

    3. Caching Considerations:
    – Caching Plugins: I have cleared the cache from all caching plugins on my site.
    – Browser Cache: I accessed the sitemap in an incognito window to bypass any browser caching.

    4. Other Checks:
    – Checked for REST API Accessibility: The custom post type is accessible via the REST API.
-Cleared SEO Transients and Sitemap Cache: I used the tools in Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools to clear SEO transients and sitemap cache.
-Reviewed Console Errors: There are no errors in the browser console that indicate issues with loading the sitemap.

    5. Issue Description:
Despite all of these steps, some custom post types don’t appear in the sitemap_index.xml. The sitemap for this post type remains absent, and I am unable to determine why Rank Math is not recognizing it.

Could you please help me understand why the “Cuentos” post type is not appearing in the sitemap? Is there something I might be overlooking or any additional settings I need to adjust?

    Thank you for your assistance!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested.
Is FTP absolutely necessary? The environment is not installed. If it were really necessary we would install it, but could you first try to locate the error?

We look forward to hearing from you

    Thank you in advance
