    Hi RM,

    The following is the system setup I have in mind, and was wondering if you could validate it for me.

    Plugins:

    * Elementor Pro

    * ACF + CPT UI or Pods or Toolset

    * Rank Math

    Setup:

    * Elementor Section templates used throughout the website via the Elementor “shortcode” widget.

    * Each section is populated with widgets (heading, text editor, etc) that read in dynamic data, including custom fields, using either ACF, Pods, or Toolset.

    Validation Question:

    * Is Rank Math able to read (and hence, perform SEO analysis on) dynamic content, including custom fields produced by ACF/Pods/Toolset, “embedded” within shortcoded sections? If so, does that involve following the steps outlined here https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    Yes, Rank Math is able to read from the ACF plugin, we even have a module on our plugin to do the integration easier for you.

    You just need (after installing Rank Math) to go to the WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math plugin Dashboard and there enable the ACF module, just as I show you in the following screenshot:
    rank math compatible with acf

    Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    As an extra note, I would like to tell you that if you use shortcodes on Elementor you will have a small discrepancy in the SEO Scores between the WordPress Editor and the Elementor Editor since Elementor processes the shortcodes and WordPress don’t.

    Thank you.

    Thanks Alberto,

    My question was a bit more specific in that, I would like to know if Rank Math is able to read in dynamic custom fields that’s embedded in a section via shortcode.

    Furthermore, this question isn’t ACF-specific. Can Rank Math read custom fields using the same setup described using other plugins (such as Pods or Toolset)?

    In what situations is https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/ needed?

    Can you please provide some detail as to what you mean by “Elementor processes the shortcodes and WordPress don’t”? Images would be helpful.

    So all in all, 4 questions.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    If you use Rank Math inside Elementor, it can read any content inside shortcodes, so if you enabled support for those custom fields and they are added using shortcodes, they will be read

    Rank Math supports ACF without any problem (as I told you, just by enabling the module). For other custom fields’ plugins you might need to add some extra code to make them work, so you should use the Content Analysis API in those cases.

    About providing some details about Elementor processing shortcodes, I have added a screencast so you can see how a custom field with a 600-words text is added as a shortcode in Elementor and its contents is measured for the SEO Score inside Elementor but not outside, in the classical editor (since for that post you are using Elementor as the editor).

    The screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/bF2RJ6

    Thank you.
