Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Assuming you are referring to the SEO Metadata not getting saved, please check if you are using a Firewall, as there are chances that it will prevent saving the data.
If you are using a Firewall, please whitelist this route:
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMetaWhitelisting the route should fix the issue.
You can check this link for more information:
https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/#firewallIf you are referring to some other settings, please let us know which settings are not saved so we can advise accordingly.
I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.
Thanks for the quick reply. I am referring to Rankmath-> Dashboard / SEO Settings page.
when I enable Strip Category Base . it is not enabling.Hello,
Are you using Firefox or Safari by any chance?
If yes, can you please try saving the settings in Google Chrome?
You can also try this in an incognito window of Google Chrome.
Let us know how that goes.
Thank you.
Hello,
Adding to my colleague’s reply, could you please get in touch with your web host and ensure that the ModSecurity is disabled or they are not blocking any process of the plugin?
Disabling ModSecurity should fix the issue.
I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I tried your both solution, logged in Chrome and also disable ModSecurity but still of no use.
You can check the screenshot at https://ibb.co/FwMbZxF, I have enabled Strip Category Base, it’s showing Settings updated but actually it is not updated.
Hello,
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the troubleshooting and edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
We really look forward to helping you.
