    Hi Team,

We have added the code snippet for [month] & [year] based upon the your article – https://rankmath.com/kb/add-current-year-in-post-title/. However, in the breadcrum it is not reflecting. It’s showing as [Month] [Year] only.

We tried codes mentioned in sensitive data section but not working.

Can you please share the correct code for posting [month] & [year] everywhere including post, title, meta description, opengraph, breadcrum etc.? Thanks.

    Thanks Sakib.

Is the video link broken? Not able to watch anything after clicking the play button or it’s with us only…

    Hello,

I’m really sorry for the inconvenience. It’s working fine from our end. Though Droplr can have issues with certain browsers.

However, you may try adding “+” at the end of the URL I’ve shared earlier to download the video.

For your convenience, I’ve shared another URL, and now you should be able to access and watch it online.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Thanks Sakib. Able to watch the video and got the root cause.

However, our team will check thoroughly and let you know here within couple of days and if everything looks good then we can mark as resolved.

Meanwhile, can you please share some plugin where we can place these code from functions.php to there and it will reflect to all the subsites. We have used WpCode/CodeSnippet too but that is seems not working. As for every theme files updates it’s tendency is to overwrite.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

We always recommend our users to use a child theme instead of the parent theme to play with filter/hook.

So, in this situation, either you can create a rank-math.php file or try editing functions.php file of your child theme.

It’s easy and safe. Please follow the URL below to learn how you can add filters/hooks by creating rank-math.php file: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/#rank-math-php-file

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

So, is it like with rank-math.php, we can add any scripts and use across the network and even after theme update this file won’t be overwrite?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Yes, It’s exactly like that but, you’ve to make sure that you’ve created the rank-math.php file in your child theme.

Adding filters/hooks to your child theme won’t remove/overwrite them even if you update your active theme.

Note: rank-math.php should contain only filters/hooks of Rank Math. Other plugin/theme’s filters/hooks shouldn’t work with rank-math.php. You can add all other filters/hooks to your child theme’s functions.php, or generally, you can add any filters/hooks including Rank Math’s filter/hook to your child themes functions.php. It’s completely up to you.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

The matter of fact is that we haven’t created child theme before and not sure about the WordPress multisite behavior about the same too.

Do you have any KB or article for the same? Any plugin will also work. As we need to add other hooks as well along with this breadcrumb one.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

You can try configuring child theme for your multi-site environment using the following plugin:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/child-theme-configurator/

I hope this will help you to resolve your issue.

    Thank you.
