    Hi Rankmath team

When publishing via element or on our website https://imagine-taiwan.com/ we receive a server 500 error. After troubleshooting and speaking with our server provider we have identified rank math plugin as the problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but we still have the same problem.

Please can you help us fix it.

    Kind regards,
    Oliver

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the server 500 error when the Rank Math plugin is enabled. This type of error can often be caused by conflicts with other plugins or themes, or issues with server configurations.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Deactivate all other plugins except Rank Math and see if the error persists. If the error goes away, reactivate your plugins one by one to identify which one is causing the conflict.

    2. Switch to a Default Theme: Temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-One) to see if the issue is related to your current theme.

    3. Increase PHP Memory Limit: Sometimes, increasing the PHP memory limit can resolve server errors. You can do this by adding the following line to your wp-config.php file:

      define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
    4. Check Error Logs: Review your server’s error logs for more specific information about what might be causing the 500 error.

    5. Clear Cache: If you have any caching plugins or server-side caching, clear all caches after making changes.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, we recommend replying to this ticket with any error messages you find in your logs or any additional details about your setup. A human agent from our support team will then take over and assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we look forward to helping you resolve it!

    Hi Rakibuzzaman

Thank you for getting back to me and helping to find a swift resolution. How do I share a file here?

I can coppy and paste the code in the next chat as there dosent seem to be a file upload feature here.

    thanks,
    Oliver

If I paste the code here the website blocks me.

Here is a link to a folder with log files and a screen shot of the latest error message. I can confirme its definitely the rankmath plugin causing the problem and preventing web updates:

look forward to hearing from you – thanks!

    Hello,

From the error log you have shared, it seems that your site’s PHP memory is getting exhausted.

In this case, please get in touch with your web host and ask them to set/ensure the following PHP values:

    PHP Memory Limit: 512M
    Max input time: 150
    PHP time limit: 120
    PHP max input variables: 1000

Once done, clear your website’s cache and check again if the issue persists.

    Looking forward to helping you.
