Good Morning,
I am writing to you because SEO controls are not showing in WordPress block editor on one of my websites (encuentratupinche.com).
I just can’t find the SEO score button in the top right corner of the screen, neither on pages nor on posts.
I have just verified in settings that SEO controls toggle is enabled for pages and posts in: WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post Types tab > Pages / Posts
I have another website (micafeteraexpress.com) with the same Rank Math configuration and I don’t have this problem. What could be happening? Do you know how I can solve it?
Thank you very much.

Hello,
Thanks for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Could you please try accessing the website on your computer with an Incognito window from Chrome?
If that doesn’t help, please clear the entire cache and cookies from your browser and try again.
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktopPlease note that this would wipe out any active logged-in websites and you will need to login into all of them again.
Let us know if that helps solve your issues.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Hi, thanks for replying so quickly.
Clearing Chrome’s cache doesn’t fix the problem, and accessing the web from an incognito window doesn’t fix it either.
I see several lines like this in the error log:
[09-Mar-2022 13:24:47 UTC] PHP Warning: ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons in /home2/micafete/public_html/encuentratupinche.com/wp-includes/load.php on line 488 [09-Mar-2022 13:24:47 UTC] PHP Warning: ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons in /home2/micafete/public_html/encuentratupinche.com/wp-includes/load.php on line 488Could the problem be here?
Thanks.
Hello,
Please try following the steps in this link to fix the PHP issues on your website’s error log and check again if Rank Math is already visible upon editing your posts:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34082632/warning-ini-set-has-been-disabled-for-security-reasonsIf the issue still persists, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.
Hello again,
I have followed your instructions and these are the results of the tests carried out:
1) WordPress 5.9.1, Generatepress Premium Theme 2.1.2 and all the plugins are updated to the latest version.
2) I have disabled the ini_set() function from my cpanel and the problem still persists.
3) I have followed the troubleshooting guide and the error persists even with all plugins disabled and with the Twenty Twenty theme.
It’s very strange, right? Is there a way to reset all default RankMath parameters?
I have another website with an almost identical configuration and I don’t have this problem. Where can we continue?
Thank you very much.
4) I’ve just also tried reinstalling WordPress 5.9.1 completely and that didn’t work either.
Hello,
In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello!
Of course. I’ve shared with you the temporary access to my website created with the plugin you recommended.
On the other hand, I have noticed that there are some pages and posts where RankMath is displayed and others where it is not. The difference between one and the other is that the ones that do work have been created manually, and the ones that don’t work have been imported through the plugin WP Ultimate CSV Importer.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-ultimate-csv-importer/
Could it be related? Thanks.Hello,
I tried conducting troubleshooting for your plugins and themes but the issue persists.
Coudl you please share your FTP login in the Sensitive Data section so we can further investigate this?
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Good morning! I’ve just shared with you FTP login.
Thanks !
Hello,
I checked your site and was able to replicate the issue. This error is being logged while in the browser’s console while editing your affected post:
That error message is related to a corrupt entry for Schema on posts in your database. Did you try to change the schema directly from the database?
In your database find the
wp_postmetatable and look for entries with a meta key ofrank_math_schema_, if you find any that are empty you can delete those entries to get rid of the error. If you don’t feel confident enough doing this yourself, please provide us with cPanel/phpMyAdmin login credentials and we’ll do it for you.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Thank you very very much!!!
Sorry, I have no experience with databases and I prefer you to do that. I’ll give you the credentials to Cpanel through the sensitive data section.
The database of the wordpress installation encuentratupinche.com is: micafete_oWOlT5ue
Thanks again!
Hello,
Thank you for providing the CPanel. I tried accessing it but it doesn’t seem to work. It just gave me an empty page after I signed in. Could you please verify the situation so we can further debug the issue?
Looking forward to helping you on this one.
