Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Could you share in the Sensitive Data section your website link?
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
I ran a few SEO tests from other websites (and the public version of the Rank Math SEO Analyzer) and they all confirmed that my site’s title and description have been combined.
I deactivated Rank Math and went back to Yoast — and the problem disappeared.
So, the issue is caused by the Rank Math plugin, but I don’t know how to fix this issue.
What are my options here?
Hi Jeff,
It looks like our SEO Analysis tool cannot read many meta tags on your website.
This is certainly not the case with Google which is reading the title and description correctly:

Screaming Frog is reading it correctly as well:

This is likely an issue with our Analysis API. I have sent this to our dev. team and they will take a closer look.
I would request you to keep the website in its current state so we can find the issue which is likely caused due to use of modification – IMO.
But, we will let you know for sure within 24 hours.
Appreciate your patience in the meantime.
Thank you.
Hello,
I just checked this issue and I can see that your server is sending the page content in an encoded form using the Brotli algorithm, which is not supported by our Analyser at this time.
Even when our server sends the Accept-Encoding
header that is supposed to tell your server to use gzip compression or send the data as plain text, the header seems to be ignored and we are getting the Brotli-encoded version of the page.
You might want to check with your hosting provider or the CDN/cache service you are using (Sucuri) to ask why it seems to force the Brotli encoding for all requests.
I have taken note of this and we may add support for that compression type in the future, so that such issues can be avoided.
Hope that helps. If you have any question, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
Bummer. Brotli is built into my hosting server, so that’s not something I’ll be changing. Thanks for checking.
HI Jeff,
Thanks for the follow up.
We are hoping that this is something that we will be able to address in a future update.
Please note that the SEO analysis is only for personal use and this is not a reflection of how Google will perceive the local tests. In short, the SEO analysis results will not affect your site’s SEO.
I hope this helps. Thank you.
