    Hello Rank Math Support,

I have updated the SEO title and meta description for my homepage through the Rank Math plugin. However, despite saving the changes and using Google Search Console to request reindexing, the new title and description are not appearing in search results.

Could you please assist me in ensuring that these changes are reflected in Google’s search results? I have already made the necessary adjustments in the “Titles & Meta” settings and submitted the page for reindexing, but the issue persists.

Thank you for your assistance!Screenshot on the title displaying domain name instead of company nameSCREENSHOT DISPLAYING DOMAIN NAME INSTEAD OF COMPANY NAME

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the SEO title and meta description not updating in Google search results. It can be frustrating when changes do not reflect as expected.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check Your Settings in Rank Math: Ensure that you have correctly set the SEO title and meta description in the Rank Math plugin. You can refer to the following images for guidance:

      • Classic Editor:
Editing Meta Title and Description using Classic Editor
      • Gutenberg:
Editing Meta Title and Description in Gutenberg
    2. Schema Settings: Make sure your schema settings are valid. The Headline in the Schema Builder should show %seo_title% and the Description should show %seo_description%. This ensures that your SEO title and description are used for structured data.

    3. Check Page Source: Verify that the title and description are correctly set in the page’s source code. You can do this by right-clicking on your page and selecting "View page source" or using an online tool like HeyMeta.
Check the Title and Meta description set in the page's source code

    4. Reindexing: After making these checks, if everything looks correct, you may want to request reindexing again through Google Search Console. Sometimes it takes a while for Google to reflect changes, so patience is key.

    5. Alternative Titles: Keep in mind that Google may choose to display alternative titles based on various factors, including content relevance. If you believe your title is more appropriate, you can provide feedback to Google through their Search Help Community.

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so we can assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we’re here to help!
