Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the SEO title and meta description not updating in Google search results. It can be frustrating when changes do not reflect as expected.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:
-
Check What You Have Set Using Rank Math: Ensure that the SEO Meta Title and Description are correctly set in the Rank Math plugin. You can refer to the following images for guidance:
- Classic Editor:

- Gutenberg:

-
Ensure Your Schema Settings Are Valid: Check that your schema settings in Rank Math are configured correctly. The Headline should show %seo_title% and the Description should show %seo_description%. This ensures that your SEO title and description are used for structured data.
-
Check the Title/Description Set in the Page’s Source Code: Right-click on your page and select View page source to confirm that the title and description are correctly set in the HTML. Alternatively, you can use an online tool like HeyMeta to check this.

-
The Latest Version of Your Page Hasn’t Been Indexed: Use the cache:
command followed by your homepage URL in Google Search to check if Google has indexed the latest version of your page. If the cache date is from before your changes, you may need to wait for Google to re-crawl your page.

-
Understand Google’s Discretion: Even after making all necessary adjustments, Google may still choose to display a different title or description based on its algorithms and relevance to search queries. This is something we cannot control.
If you have followed all these steps and the issue persists, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so we can assist you further. A human agent will take over from there.
Thank you for raising this concern, and we’re here to help!

Hello,
We checked your homepage with the site:
operator and we can see Google is showing the correct meta title on SERPs:

That means Google is already aware of the correct metadata of your website. Nowadays, Google does that very commonly. Even when everything is fine, Google may choose to display a different meta title and description for your search query result. Google may skip the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the page’s content that better matches the search intent.

Hello,
If you’re referring to the site name, please note that there are various sources that Google uses to define your site name on SERPs including:
- og:site_name meta tag
- WebSite structured data
- Content in
title
elements
- Heading elements
Among them, Rank Math automatically includes the og:site_name
meta tag and the WebSite Schema on your website, and the rest you’ll have to include manually. You can also check the Google documentation on site-name: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/site-names
However, as is mentioned in the documentation, this process is automated by the algorithm and even though it takes into account the information on the website, it is still not guaranteed that your site name will come up correctly in Google SERPs since it’s solely decided by Google what they found relevant and user-friendly and which one they want to show.
Since the site name is already set on your website, we can only suggest you allow Google some time to recrawl and see if that updates the site name on SERPs.
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
