  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the SEO titles and meta descriptions not appearing correctly on Google. This can happen for several reasons, and we’re here to help you troubleshoot this.

Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

    1. Check What You Have Set Using Rank Math
Ensure that you have correctly set the SEO Meta Title & Description using the Rank Math WordPress SEO plugin. Here’s how to do it:

      • Classic Editor:
Editing Meta Title and Description using Classic Editor
      • Gutenberg:
Editing Meta Title and Description in Gutenberg
    2. Ensure Your Schema Settings Are Valid
Check that the settings in Rank Math’s Schema tab for your post or page are correct. The Headline should show %seo_title% and the Description should show %seo_description%. This ensures that your SEO title and description are used for structured data as well.

    3. Check the Title/Description Set in the Page’s Source Code
You can verify if your title and description are set up properly in the page source. Right-click on your page and select View page source. Alternatively, you can use this online tool to check.
Check the Title and Meta description set in the page's source code

    4. The Latest Version of Your Page Hasn’t Been Indexed
Sometimes, Google may not have indexed the latest version of your page yet. You can request indexing through Google Search Console.

    5. Why Google Might Choose Not to Use Your Meta Description or Title
Google may choose to display alternative text if it believes that content on your page is more relevant. You can learn more about this here.

If you continue to experience issues after checking these points, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so we can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we look forward to helping you resolve it!

    Hello,

You can verify the title and description meta tags for those URLs if they are already set:

If the title/description is already set in the page’s source code, please note that Google and other search engines sometimes ignore the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.
