SEO score goes down - Support

When we are doing the SEO we get it to a high score but once its saved it either goes back to the score it was before or the score goes down by 5. Can you please advise?

For initial troubleshooting, please check if you are using a Firewall as it may prevent saving the changes.

If you are using a Firewall, please whitelist this route:

Thanks for your response, we just changed the Bold nitrile gloves. It went from 81 to 88 when changing the title. Updated it and it went down to 83

We use Google’s latest ranking factors that pertain to one’s on-page content, to determine if the content is well-optimized, and assign a score based on various tests we run on the content.

You can follow the following guide to reach 100 scores:
https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/

But please stay advised that these tests are just guidelines, and one does not need to follow them religiously.

At the end of the day, the content needs to be written for the readers and not for the search engines.

So, with that in mind, would you kindly test other titles and check if it raises the score a bit? There might be a couple more tests that our scores are based on. For example, a focus keyword on your title is missing or it’s not starting with the focus keyword that’s set.

We could also test this out on your website and check if there are any irregularities there.

Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

I have read the guide you linked, and I understand that the on-page SEO score is just a guideline.
I have already tested a few different titles, but the score has not changed significantly. I am not sure if I am missing something or if there are other factors that are affecting the score.

Hello,

We can see that the Rank Math Rest APIs are still getting blocked by your Wordfence firewall. So, even if you try to change the metadata of your pages, it will not get saved. In this case, please try to follow the guidelines we shared above to whitelist Rank Math Rest APIs on your firewall.
