Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
We checked and can see that the title and description you have set is different from what is shown in the Google Search result page.
Please note that it is common for Google to do this nowadays. Even when everything is fine, Google may choose to display a different meta title and description for a search result.
Google sometimes adjust the title and description according to the search intent. Google may choose to display a different meta title for search query results.
Google may sometimes ignore the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the pageās content that better matches the search intent.
You can follow this URL for details on this issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

Hi Adetayo,
Thanks for your reply. It just seems weird that for the product categories it’s doing this, but on the other pages – it’s taking the right meta titles.
And it’s all the descriptions that are being ignored.
Are you sure it’s Google and there is no settings that are not correct? Are you able to see our setting to double confirm?
Regards
Paul
Hello,
It appears Google is taking the title from the first <h1> title on the page, where Elementor is outputting your internal WordPress product name.

You can prevent Google from scraping your content to be shown for result by setting your max-snippets to 0. You can make this change for this specific product or for all products via Rank Math > Title & Meta > Products. You can learn more about the max-snippet rule here.

Thanks for your help/ I cannot see on our Rank Math section how to do this:
“You can prevent Google from scraping your content to be shown for result by setting your max-snippets to 0. You can make this change for this specific product or for all products via Rank Math > Title & Meta > Products.”
We would want it for all products. Are you able to show me in a screenshot what section I need to change?
Hello,
You can do that from Rank Math > Title & Meta > Product > Product Robots Meta. Here’s a screencast illustrating the steps: https://i.rankmath.com/i/UTAawt
