My sitemap cannot be crawled by Google.
-
Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemap not being crawled by Google. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
-
Validate Your Sitemap: Ensure that your sitemap is correctly configured. You can use the Validate XML Sitemap tool to check for any issues.

-
Ensure the Sitemap is Located in the Root Folder: Make sure your sitemap is installed in the root folder of your WordPress installation. The URL should look like this:
https://yourdomainname.com/sitemap_index.xml. -
Check Index Settings: Your sitemap will be empty if all your posts are set to noindex. To set your posts to index, go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and enable the Index checkbox in the Robots Meta settings.

-
Check robots.txt File: Ensure that your robots.txt file does not block access to your sitemap. You can check this in Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.
-
Plugin Conflicts: If you suspect a plugin conflict, consider using the Health Check plugin to identify any issues.
If you follow these steps and still encounter issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!
